Dr. David P. De Rosier

Dr. De Rosier earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine in 1983. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1987, and remains at the forefront of dental technology through extensive continuing education. Dr. De Rosier has been practicing in Point Loma since 1991, and is an active member of the Point Loma Rotary Club, Point Loma Summer Concerts and the Peninsula Breakfast Club. He lives in Point Loma and enjoys cycling, vintage cars and sailing. He’s been married for over 30 years to his wife, Kerri, and is very proud of his daughter, Sarah, who is an automotive engineer.

I love practicing dentistry. And I think it shows in my approach to my work, in my endless quest for more knowledge about the best dental care  and in my approach to my patients. In my office, we practice “one size fits one,” a philosophy that honors patient’s individual needs and values.

Values? What do values have to do with dentistry? Every patient comes to the dentist wanting different things: we work with you to make sure that we respect your individual preferences. We are partners — not drivers in our goal to make sure that your teeth can last a lifetime.

Dentistry isn’t only about treating teeth  it’s about treating the whole person. That’s why I begin every new relationship with a thorough exam. During the exam, we use the latest in x-ray technology to examine the teeth and bones, only taking what is absolutely necessary. Why? Because I take films according to what is appropriate for you, not what your insurance will pay for. After the examination, we discuss the findings and develop a plan together. We look for early signs of problems so we can address them before they become bigger problems  and a bigger expense for you.

I am admittedly a continuing education junkie. Through my memberships in the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the San Diego County Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the L.D. Pankey Study Club of Southern California, I have ample opportunities to learn about the latest advances in dental care: I also serve as a member of the Ethics Committee for the County Dental Society, and am an alumnus of the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, a rigorous program that emphasizes full-mouth reconstruction, TMJ therapy, and advanced cosmetic techniques.

I look forward to seeing you!

Meet the Staff

Robin Jett (Office Manager)

"Hi, my name is Robin Jett. I have been in dentistry my whole adult life! I was born and raised in Iowa, yes, on a farm with cows and pigs! I am passionate about animals, dogs in particular. I am a volunteer for the SD Humane Society and have my own little rescue, Scooter, who will soon turn 3 years old. I am a proud mom of a 22 year old son who lives in Denver. I am an empty nester with lots of time to explore my hobbies of painting, cooking and dog walking! My dental career began in the U.S. Navy doing hygiene. After five years in the Navy, I got out and decided to make my home here in beautiful San Diego. I have worked as a dental assistant, a front office receptionist, an insurance coordinator and office manager. I have worn many hats in dentistry and feel at home here at Dr. De Rosier’s. He is a wonderful person as well as an outstanding dentist. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you meet your dental needs!"

Dorit Begley

Dorit (pronounced “Doreet”) Begley grew up in a small town in Israel and moved to San Diego in 2005. She earned her AS from San Joaquin Valley College and her BS from Oregon Institute of Technology. Dorit has been practicing hygiene since 2015 and loves her job because she likes to help people "smile a little brighter." In her spare time, Dorit likes to exercise, travel, and take her poodle, Sansa on road trips around California. “Being a hygienist is so rewarding. I love getting to know my patients while taking care of their oral health and educating them on the importance of good oral hygiene. I treat my patients in the same manner that I would like to be treated: being attentive and courteous to their individual needs during their appointment. I provide gentle yet thorough care, which is always done with kindness. My goal is to help my patients understand how to maintain a healthy smile that will last them a lifetime!"

Tuyet-Van Trinh

"My name is Van. I was named by my mom, and Van means “clouds” in Vietnamese. Maybe she was hoping I’d be like the clouds floating freely in the beautiful sky. I came to the United States about 16 years ago due to the Civil War in Vietnam. I was lucky enough to have been born after the war, but it was still hard to live there decades after the war ended. I’ve been through a lot and have seen much to have become the person I am today. I got married in 2009 and have three daughters, Angelyn, Aniela and Arella. I am very happy and thankful for what I have, and I realize there are lots of less fortunate people who need other people’s help. I don’t have much to give right now, but helping other people who are less fortunate than I am around the world is my dream and my purpose in life. I am a very honest, caring and loving person – traits that fit well with my chosen career. I have been in the dental field since 1999. I love what I do and where I work today. I am a neat freak, a perfectionist, and I love taking care of people. I am very lucky to have found Dr. De Rosier and have worked with him since 2008. Dr. De Rosier and I share very similar personalities: our affection for teeth and caring for people. There is one way that we are different from each other: Dr. De Rosier is really tall and I am really short. I look forward to serving you, and continuing to help you take care of your teeth. If we meet your standard of care, your biggest reward to us is trusting us to take care of your family, your loved ones, and your friends."
